More Monarchs in Portland!

Documented sightings of Monarchs were up over the Summer of 2022. Goodness knows how many more that came through the area that weren't reported. Providing essential habitat will continue to make Portland a more important stop along the migration.

Reminder: the Free Milkweed Seed station in the 3400 block of NE 24th Ave. in Portland is kept well-stocked with a variety of milkweed seeds and “the ultimate Monarch magnet” Meadow Blazingstar seeds, along with Monarch gardening guides. Winter is an ideal time to sow these seeds outdoors. Directions for several methods of germination and plant descriptions included in packets. More habitat means more happy Monarchs and other pollinators!
