Portland Oregon has officially been added to the list of Monarch City USA sites! This is not due to large numbers of Monarchs migrating through our skies, rather, the local residents’ enthusiasm for creating essential butterfly habitat which includes milkweed: the only plant Monarch caterpillars can eat. Without milkweed there will be NO Monarchs.
