Breaking Ground at Washington Park

Wings Over Washington Park Monarch Habitat took flight this morning! Volunteers and Portland Parks & Rec. spent the morning removing invasive ivy and hauling yards and yards of mulch. So much mulch! The weather cooperated and our crew made some excellent progress. Everyone was excited about how beautiful the space will be, particularly after the work on reservoir is complete! We are looking forward to selecting the plants for the further habitat and laying out pathways and such. The transformation has begun.
